While Therapy Pure Essentials seems to pride themselves on quality and diversity of products, it’s difficult to get a read for a company with so little customer reviews.
There’s plenty of readily available history regarding this CBD company’s origins, sourcing and fully accessible lab testing results, but there’s still some vagueness about their returns policy and whether these CBD products are truly all natural.
Therapy Pure is widely known and widely distributed, but are they widely preferred?
History of Therapy Pure Essentials
Therapy Pure Essentials, LLC is the manufacturer of high quality nutraceutical products featuring pure hemp oils sourced from the U.S. and Europe.
While we were unable to find a record of when Therapy Pure Essentials first came on the scene, their Facebook page began posting on October 31 of 2016 and their Instagram page went live in December of the same year.
Located in San Diego California, Therapy Pure Essentials’ focus lies in providing a wide range of pure hemp oil products while using natural ingredients whenever possible. The ultimate goal is to provide an excellent product that will improve the health and quality of life for people, as well as their pets.
Therapy Pure Essentials also cites their commitment to education and advocacy to promote unrestricted access to all plant-derived products that might be beneficial to both humans and animals.
Therapy Pure’s Product Quality

Quality seems to be a focal point for Therapy Pure Essentials, and one that is mentioned on the website time and time again. Though they do admit to utilizing some additives when needed, Therapy Pure uses only MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil derived from naturally grown virgin coconuts as the company’s main carrier oil. Therapy Pure claims that, “All additional additives, when applicable, are sourced from qualified industry leaders.” They go on to add that they are constantly on the lookout for organic and natural solutions to replace those additives.
Lab Testing
One thing we really like about the Therapy Pure Essentials website is that they offer easy access to Certificates of Authentication for their various products. Making their lab results available from a visible tab right from the main website page is a great way to show that they’re willingness to put their money where their mouth is in regard to the quality and efficacy of their products.
Sourcing
As we mentioned, Therapy Pure Essentials sources their hemp from both the U.S. (in Colorado) and the E.U. from farms adhering strictly to certified organic requirements. This allows the CBD company to source 100% organic material year-round, which is a definite plus.
What Customers are Saying About Therapy Pure Essentials
This was the disconcerting part of our research into the Southern California-based company. From what we’ve gathered, customers are saying…nothing.
The Therapy Pure Essentials website doesn’t have customer reviews or even star ratings tied to any of their products, nor do they curate and quote them anywhere on the site. Further research turned up nothing. No Reddit threads with reviews and nothing on several of the third-party seller sites we checked out.
This made it impossible to evaluate taste, effectiveness, overall customer satisfaction with any of their products, or their customer service efficiency.
Therapy Pure Essentials ships to all fifty states, including Hawaii and Alaska. Once ordered, their shipping guidelines state that if USPS First Class is chosen as the preferred shipping method, it usually takes about 5-7 days to receive your order. If USPS Priority is chosen, it takes about 3-4 days. The cost of shipping is passed on to the customer, and we don’t see any amount cap that would allow for free shipping at a certain point.
While they do allow for some returns within 14 days of the order date, Therapy Pure Essentials stops far short of offering a no questions asked, money back guarantee. Their terms and conditions state that they will do so if the product is unopened and still in new condition, but go on to add that the product needs to be evaluated and approved before a return is accepted. It’s also important to note that the shipping costs associated with returns are the responsibility of the customer.
Therapy Pure Essentials Product Catalog

One thing we really do appreciate about Therapy Pure Essentials is their range of interesting products.
Of course, what we were drawn to first were the vegan chocolate bars, which come in mint, chipotle, and peanut butter. Each bar contains 100mg of Cannabidiol and are sold in either a 3-pack or 5-pack. Retail is rather steep, costing between $54 and $96, respectively. We haven’t tried them yet, but for chocolate lovers who want their CBD delivered deliciously–and with less of that earthy/hemp taste–these bars seem like a great option.
Therapy Pure also has a variety of tinctures available for human consumption, ranging in price from $22-$140 as well as their pet-focused line, ranging from $18-$28.
Lastly, they have a couple of topical products which are meant to treat pain. Dave’s Targeted Response Cream retails for $80 and is the larger sized product at 120ml, containing 200mg of CBD. The other is called Coolfix200, which is sold in a 30ml size. It is infused with 200mg of Activated Hemp Iso (AHI+), and is what the company describes as a “soothing, slightly minty and herbaceous cream designed to soothe and comfort the body.” However, the website descriptions don’t differentiate much between the two as far as the benefits of one over the other, which is an unfortunate oversight.

Final Thoughts
We love the expansive product line. Especially the inclusion of chocolate products and products for animals! We also appreciate their apparent commitment to quality, evidenced by readily available lab results and the use of organic ingredients when possible.
The main issue we have with this CBD company is the glaring lack of reviews. After some digging, and many clicks through the website and searching each product individually, we were able to see a space where reviews would live if there were any, but all showed a big, fat 0.
Because of this, the fact that the products are not entirely natural and the return policy seems to be a bit convoluted, leads us to suggest trying a single product first to ensure satisfaction before investing in Therapy Pure’s whole product line.
