History of HempFusion

In August of 2016, MetaCan, Inc. launched their website, hempfusion.com and announced the release of their HempFusion product line into independent and chain health food stores across the U.S.

HempFusion is a pioneer in the hemp-based nutritional supplements category, and is focused on providing a high quality, all-natural, plant-based product line.

HempFusion, located in Roswell, Georgia, is spearheaded by co-founder and President, Dr. Jason Mitchell. Mitchell received his doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Trinity College and has been certified by the American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board.

HempFusion is largely focused on producing all natural, Non-GMO, full-spectrum phytocompound hemp oil.

HempFusion’s Commitment to Quality

One of the most notable things about HempFusion is that they truly seem to be committed to quality. Their website touts that all of their products are manufactured in an NSF certified, cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) facility. They also guarantee the safety of all their HempFusion products.

Another unique fact about HempFusion is that they use a combination of nutritional hemp oil and other powerful botanicals to form what they call “Whole Food Hemp Complex”™ as opposed to a more linear “CBD oil-only” approach.

This broad-spectrum hemp extract contains valuable phytocannabinoids and terpenes naturally occurring in nutritional hemp and other botanicals, such as black pepper fruit and clove oil. All of this is delivered using their proprietary Phospholivery System.

What exactly is Phospholivery, you ask? According to HempFusion, it’s a unique Non-GMO sunflower oil-based phospholipid complex that Hempfusion feels is a highly effective method of ensuring the product is best absorbed by the body, and in a natural way.

On top of all that, HempFusion conducts triple, third party, independent laboratory tests on every batch of their Whole Food Hemp Complex.

Critical in maintaining optimal health, our bodies own endocannabinoid systems are responsible for regulating balance in everything from our cardiovascular and digestive systems to our endocrine, immune and nervous systems.

HempFusion claims that the powerful phytocompounds found in their product line help support the endocannabinoid system and restore the body to homeostasis. Unfortunately, we were unable to locate any laboratory tests online specifically for HempFusion products to support these claims.

What Customers Are Saying About HempFusion

Reviews on HempFusion products seem overwhelmingly positive. On their website, the popular 5.0 Hemp extract daily supplement is rated five stars, with 15 customer reviews. Most describe the effects as notable, and some go so far as to claim the results have been “amazing,” and “miraculous.”

Martine raves, “Love the 5.0. I use it to help relieve the knee and SI joint discomfort I have been plagued with for over a year. Hemp Fusion has helped to alleviate it. Thought it was coincidence until I ran out and full blast discomfort returned. Will continue to buy. It is more effective than anything else I have tried.”

Even on third party sites, reviews seem to be largely positive. The HempFusion 3.0 Hemp extract daily supplement has an impressive 4.3 stars on Amazon, with one customer noting that it helped with both anxiety and focus, and another claiming that it helped greatly with general aches and pains.

We did note one disturbing review on Reddit in which the customer stated that they were very dissatisfied with HempFusion 5.0, and went on the explain that they experienced acid reflux and grogginess after taking the CBD. This customer explained that even 24 hours later, they felt “foggy headed and a little shaky.”

To their credit, the HempFusion team responded respectfully to the reviewer, explaining that it’s imperative to eat prior to taking their product, and that any oil-based product could result in an unsettled stomach.

Overall, though, we did not find many dissatisfied customers.

Customer Service

As far as we can tell from reviews, customers seem satisfied with the customer service they receive. But while there is a caveat for damaged products that allows customers to potentially return damaged orders within five days of receiving them, in general, HempFusion’s website clearly states that “All Purchases Are Final” and that they do not allow exchanges or process refunds.

HempFusion Product Catalog

HempFusion offers six different products at this time, ranging in price from $29.99 to $59.99…

HempFusion products are readily available at many online retailers like Amazon, Pure Formulas, and the HempFusion site. The HempFusion website also offers a handy little tool where you enter your location and it produces a list of nearby brick and mortar retailers that carry their products.

Our Verdict

We really like HempFusion’s focus on natural compounds, and also love that they use no GMOs, soy, gluten, wheat, dairy, milk, eggs, shellfish, artificial colors, flavors, or chemical processing aids. These vegetarian capsules are clearly meant to have a wide appeal. But HempFusion is only a few years old, so while there are dozens of reviews available, the sample size is still relatively small.

That said, based on overall apparent customer satisfaction on their own website and that of third party vendors, it seems as if most people who try HempFusion find the products to be helpful.

But based solely on the one negative review and HempFusion’s response, we strongly recommend following the directions on the box and taking the recommended CBD dose with food.

We do appreciate the user-friendly website, and ordering seems to be quite painless, but we don’t love the return policy. But if it works so well, we would prefer if HempFusion stood behind the CBD product and offered a money back guarantee.

In summary, though, we still think HempFusion might be worth the risk. We would recommend ordering one box initially to ensure that you find it helpful before investing too much into a product you can’t return or exchange.
